What is life coaching and how does it help?
Through centuries there have been coaches in the forms of spiritual leaders, gurus and just people who were deemed wiser than the rest. The concept is not new and it is observed through history in different ways. It has become exceptionally popular though over the least 10 years, as awareness around mental health, self realisation and actualisation has sky rocketed. People are more and more eager to understand themselves, their patterns, their conditioning and live to their potential.
Coaching is not therapy though and the terms should not be interchanged. Therapists are medically licensed professionals, who have medical and post graduate training.

Am I the best life coach out there? Absolutely but there is more to it
I have been reflecting about people searching for ‘the best life coach in London’ or ‘the best coach out there’ and similar. I thought to myself, how can I make a statement that I am the best life coach in London, in Sofia or in the world? Here is my view - I am the best coach I can be to my abilities, knowledge, education, empathy and the space I hold for my clients.

12 Signs You’re Working with a Coach (Like Me!)
Working with a coach is not just about setting goals or checking tasks off a list — it's about real transformation. As someone who’s guided people through burnout, identity shifts, and deep emotional healing, I often say: Coaching is not about fixing you — it’s about reconnecting you to who you truly are. If you’re wondering what life looks like when you step into coaching with me at A Mindful Escape, here are 12 powerful signs of change you’ll start to experience — all based on real journeys I’ve witnessed in my practice.

No, it is not you - everything does feel heavier these days
There’s something I’ve been sitting with lately and it got me thinking - is it just me? Am I the only one that feels like the news cycles are a constant doom and gloom, and the last time I read the word ‘joy’ in a headline was in 2019 or something?
Before 2020, the world felt… different. Not perfect. But somehow lighter. The future felt more open. Uncertainty was there, yes—but it wasn’t pressing down on us every day. These days, I hear a quiet theme running beneath so many conversations—with clients, friends, even strangers:
“Why do I feel so heavy, anxious, or fearful—even when life seems ‘fine’ on the surface?”

Is self-love all about bubble baths and catching flights? Of course not
I have found it fascinating to understand what people believe self love to be. When you open any social media app, an array of posts motivating you to love yourself first, be a boss this or that and catch flights not feelings, just pour out your screen. It got me thinking though, is self love bubble baths and spa days? Those little nuggets of enjoyment are definitely part of the self love journey but they are nice to haves, not the essentials. It can also be said that a few of them are forms of escapism from truly facing yourself and healing.

VITAMIN SEA AND ITS BENEFITS
Do you remember what it feels like the first time you go to the seaside? Not the first time in your life, but every first time. After you have been away from this deep ocean-blue horizon for a long time, and the moment your bare feet touch the soft sand, you hear the sound of waves crashing on the shore, and the sun kisses your face, you feel like something inside you, resets. Like a heavy weight has been lifted off your shoulders, you breathe deeply in the fresh salty air, and suddenly… you feel at peace. Do you recognize the feeling?
What is the real impact of Working from home?
I am of the opinion that everything needs context. There is no blanket statement that covers the ins and outs of the situation, for such a complex matter as where is a workforce most productive, motivated, at peace etc… There are many aspects that we need to consider when forming an opinion. If COVID showed us anything, it was that people are resilient, adaptable and can WFH with minimum impact on productivity at least for some time.

Is there one best way to journal?
Imagine having one item that reminds you of all the good things that happened to you daily. A collection of positive experiences and dear moments. A safe space that you can come back to every day, passing through the pages and filling the new ones with more and more gratitude. No, it’s not a picture album. That is a gratitude journal. It’s your personal book of all the things you are grateful for in your life.

We explore the benefits of being in nature while living the 9-5 life in 1 of the most congested cities in the world. Surviving the holidays, when you do not feel like celebrating
There are people out there for whom the holidays exasperate the sense of loneliness, fear, loss, heartbreak and many more feelings that are very far from joy. The social pressure to feel something positive, only makes a person feel worse.

Are we addicted to our phones?
In true Carrie Bradshaw style, ‘I could not help but wonder…’ are phones the cigarettes of our time? Would we see phones being sold with a warning 10 years from now, with a health hazard sticker on them? Would they be allowed after a certain age? I truly cannot help but think we are observing a phenomenon we do not truly understand and the consequences are yet to be seen.

Toxic positivity isn’t leadership
The ‘positive vibes’ only movement can have profound negative effects on people and businesses.

What I can tell you is that for so many years now, employers have been pushing forward the idea of becoming successful, not acknowledging the cost one may pay. Commonly, that would be sleepless nights, stress, and anxiety which result in dissatisfaction, demotivation, and the question ‘Why do I even do it anymore?’. Simply said, it affects employees' wellbeing.

I feel like I failed… Now what?
Failure - the dreaded word of the day. I am going to skip past the social media aspect of how people perceive other people’s lives, and how this can be really impactful on anyone’s mental health. In this post, I want to focus on actual failure - when we, as individuals, make a move and epically F*** it up. Or at least we perceive it this way.

How to choose the right therapist?
Although I am a certified practitioner, I still go to therapy myself. Practicing, while working on your own practice improvement and biases, is a lifelong journey. So the question - how to choose the right therapist is so important. Going down the route of doing therapy can be overwhelming.
