Stephanie is an award winning movement specialist, who creates the most transformational yoga experience for our guests every day. Stephanie has been practicing yoga since 2017.

Moving our bodies is such a fundamental part of our wellbeing. We often forget about that, stuck in our desk jobs, too busy to dedicate time to move.

During your Mindful Escape retreat you will spend at east 1 hour each day doing yoga with Stephanie. The sessions will be suitable for absolute beginners, as well as more advanced practitioners. Stephanie will guide each group to achieve maximum satisfaction and results.

  • Welcoming and working with our fears

When we are looking for or on the verge of change, transformation it is more than natural to feel fear, apprehension and maybe even utter panic for some of us.

In this workshop, using the Journey ® method, we will :

    • Look at the benefits of fear and why it keeps on showing up

    • Getting to know some universal fears and some of our own

    • Learn how we can befriend them

    • Learn what our fears have got to tell us

    • Make them an ally allowing leverage for action

  • Self-compassion through self-care

Our bodies are the divine vessels for our Souls on this journey on Earth.

Too often, we go beyond our limits and push forward, forcing our body into situations it does not enjoy. Be it at the gym, at work sitting for hours on end, at home not giving enough rest, in crowded public transport etc…

We will give it a proper break. This will be a loving and caring workshop where we will :

    • Brainstorm simple ways we can care for our bodies through Presence, Touch and Loving Kindness

    • Listen to what our cells have got to tell us

    • A supportive Sūkshma Marma Therapy® routine to help relieve blockages and restore harmony

    • Learn simple self-massage techniques that can be applied daily

    • How to incorporate self-love into our existing daily routine without adding more on our plate

  • Meditation

Meditation will be another core practice that our guests will get to experience daily during A Mindful Escape retreat. An ancient practice built to tame the mind and ground the practitioner. The advantages of practicing meditation are endless. There are a lot of people who struggle to focus, empty their mind and actually experience the benefits of meditation.

In our sessions we will teach our guests how to meditate successfully. Trust us, it is easier surrounded by nature and the sounds of the forrest.

We will provide 1:1 guidance to each guest who struggles with practicing meditation in their daily life, so they can take it back with them. Different approaches work for different people and our team will work with each individual to select the best way for them to practice daily, when they go back to their busy lives.

Being able to switch off, look inward and feel grounded is a gift that will allow guests to live a more fullfiling, present and less anxious life.

  • Discover the forgotten Power of your Breath

Breath is Life. The way you breathe is the reflection of the way you live.

During this 90-minute workshop, using our breath alongside various other tools such as sounding, touch… we will create a safe cocoon to:

    • Look at various breathing dysfunctions

    • Explore your individual breath pattern

    • Go into a practice to reconnect with our “baby’s breath”

    • Become more conscious of our bodies and breath

    • Liberate some of those long held emotions and patterns holding us back

    • Restore balance into your nervous system

    • Open ourselves up to receiving

Even though this is held in a group setting, deep healing can happen at an individual level, being magnified by the energy of the group.

  • Dance meditation

There is so much beauty in dance. Feeling our bodies, our skin and the air that caresses us while we move through space. These sessions are designed for people from all walks of life, no previous dance experience required.

This movement session draws inspiration from contemporary dance, yoga and mindfulness. It aims at allow participants to connect to their bodies and ideas of heritage, release emotions and access communal joy.

Stephanie leads the guests into a free dancing session, with carefully curated instructions which layer to inspire movement, release and transformation under the grooves of the music. There’s no choreography to be learned, no movements to be repeated. Bodies dance together, being only here, only now – connecting to the music.

  • Exploring nature

Nature is going to be a big part of our guests transformational experience. Living a busy city life often deprives us of the beauty comprised in connecting with nature.

A Mindful Escape retreat has chosen a location surrounded by centuries old forrest, allowing for peaceful walks and hikes.

During a retreat, our guests will have the opportunity to go on a short hike one of the days. This will be a light climb and won’t be compulsory should a guest have injuries that prevent them from doing light hikes.

This will be an empowering walk, focusing on the power we hold within us and how to conquer conditioning that is holing us back in life. The conditioning making us feel we cannot achieve our goals and dreams, we say goodbye to those thoughts.

  • Barre, dance and movement

So many of us are conscious of dancing, thinking we should have skills of a professional dancer in order to hit the dance floor.

During a Mindful Escape retreat our guests will learn that movement is innate to us as a species. It was given to us for a reason.

Everyone can be a dancer in their every day life an his is a sill w are confident our guests will walk out with.

Why is this important? Because your brain releases so many happy chemicals and hormones when you do so. Even a short moment of dance will set the tone of your day to happiness. We will teach you the art of letting go of limiting thoughts and fully embracing joy and movement in your kitchen, or just in your own space, if dancing on the street feels like a stretch at the moment.

Emma:

“I joined A Mindful escape retreat in a moment where I needed to disconnect from the world. I felt consistently overwhelmed with my day to day and struggled to disconnect and carve time out to care for my mind, body and soul. The experience was truly transcendental, I loved moving my body and made me reconsider my daily practices once I was done with the retreat. Would definitely recommend. ”

the art of flow

It is not all about yoga and meditation. It works for certain people but it does not work for others. This is why we explore a variety of methods so you can find that state of ‘flow’. Most of us have heard about it but so few understand it.

Most people say ‘OMG I just cannot meditate’ and you know what? I cannot either. It is not what does it for me. However, I explored so many different options and I found what brings me to my state of ‘flow’.

A Mindful Escape retreat will help you find yours, because this is an important tool in your every day wellbeing.

Deyana, Founder

Deyana has lived in London for many years working in the digital and technology space in the travel industry. Her experience led her to be very interested in human psychology, emotional intelligence and coaching. She led large international teams, while continuously working on her soft skills and having vested interest in product development and quality.

Deyana continued to develop her passion for travel, creativity and tranquility and created I’m moving to London in 2015. A blog and Instagram account helping people dream and enjoy sights of London. Following the pandemic many things changed and Deyana focused further on her corporate career. Divorce, burn out, the Alzheimer’s diagnosis of her grandmother, her bedridden father and her beloved cat’s death made her stop in her tracks. She had to re-consider the path she wanted to walk in life, and the path she wanted to lead others on.

But before she got to creating A Mindful Escape she went on a self discovery, learning journey, so she could teach others.
